My family (six people) ordered 2lbs of brisket, 1 rack of baby back ribs, 2 large cole slaw, 1 large mac and cheese and one slice of ice box cake from Mrs. Smokeys with high hopes. The brisket was good, ribs were falling off the bone very good. The cole slaw, mac and cheese and ice box cake were all good but the entire dinner added up to $71 dollars. That's just too expensive for us to take in food. The quality was excellent but we can't make a habit of this. We most likely will still use Park Ave. BBQ as our go to BBQ due to value. But, this is a local family owned operation and they deserve success. So if you don't mind spending the money than go with Mrs. Smokey's.

The closest thing to North Carolina BBQ I have had here in Florida. Great food and service.

Mouthwatering BBQ, delicious BBQ sauce... Not much more to say... About as good as non-self-cooked BBQ as you can find.

We tried Mrs. Smokey's for the first time a couple of days ago. Items sampled were ribs, pulled pork, brisket, tator tots, slaw, fried biscuits, homebrew iced tea, and key lime pie. All the meats were perfect. Excellent balance of smoke and dry rub. The brisket and the pork even had bark (not usually seen in BBQ restaurants, but always seen at real BBQ competitions). Sauce served on the side by req, was not overpowering and enhanced the flavor of the meats. Tator tots were excellent and I don't even like tots as a rule. Not sure what was done to make these as good as they were. Slaw was crisp and fresh. The iced tea was excellent and a welcome change from the industrial stuff you get at most places. The key lime pie was the perfect desert after a heavy BBQ meal. It was not too sweet and had a very nice lime flavor and smooth creamy texture. The was the best Q I've had in Florida, and I eat alot of Q.

Found this little gem while traveling. We had the Feast for Two, threw in some fried pickles, and walked away super satisfied. Everything was delicious. If you like heat, stick with the medium sauce; as someone who likes hot foot, it had plenty of heat. Owner was attentive, super friendly, and made me feel like I was eating at a friend's place. Beans were delicious, not just plain old beans, but had a little something extra to make them scrumptious. And the biscuits...AMAZING.

WOW! This place is the BEST bbq in Florida! Must try it!

I wasn't too sure what to expect after reading the other reviews on Yelp about how people LOVED Mrs. Smokey but we were visiting in the area and decided to give her a try. We are so glad we did! The reviews we read were helpful because there was very limited seating- especially for our group of four adults but the restaurant wasn't crowded so we had enough room to spread out. Since we had never been there before we decided to try it all and ordered the "feast for four" and yes, it was a feast! It included pulled pork BBQ, beef brisket, ribs, and chicken along with sides of cole slaw, potato salad and beans and four of Mrs. Smokey's fried biscuits. The fried biscuits were our least favorite item and we would have enjoyed Texas toast or even buns much more. The pork, brisket and chicken were delicious. We ate and ate and still had plenty to take back for lunch the next day. The ribs were fine- just not the type we were expecting. There were four large ribs- and the meat didn't exactly fall off the bone but did have a good flavor. I had read that her sauces were on the hot side so we just ordered everything with the mild sauce and had them bring some of the medium for those in our party who like more of a kick- and that worked with everyone's taste buds. The service was great, the staff very friendly and I can truly say it was a delicious meal and a memorable time. I was also able to get 10% off our order by checking in through Yelp. We ordered dessert to take with us and both the Key Lime Pie and the Pecan Pie were excellent. If you love BBQ and are in the area give Mrs. Smokey's a try.

Mrs. Smokey's is great! I went to the pre-opening party, and again for lunch today. It is really good BBQ at a good price. The tots are nice and crispy, and the sauce is home made. Like is noted above, mild is mild, medium is hot, and hot is very hot! I get a side of medium to add a little spice to the mild. The pork is excellent, the chicken is moist, and the brisket is my favorite. If you want some real BBQ in northern Palm Beach county this is really as good as you will find. Compared to others, this is the only one that really wakes up your tastebuds! They also have IBC root beer, so you know they are intent on giving the customer a really good quality not just in the home made meats and sides, but beverage selections as well. The location is just south of Northlake Blvd. on Alternate A1A. Plenty of parking anywhere in the plaza, or call ahead and use the drive thru if you are in a hurry. They have really made an excellent effort in providing a unique atmosphere with the western movies and decor. Friendly owner / operators show what can be done with a family operation!

I recently found this cute little place from Yelp. It's family run and I always see "Mrs. Smokey" here. I'm a big fan of Park Avenue, but I like supporting small businesses. The scooby snack is a fried biscuit with your choice of side to put in it. I chose beans and it was reallyy good. I like fat on my ribs (I know, weird and unhealthy) so I got the Rib Snack with the St. Louis Ribs which comes with two sides and couldn't finish it all. The collared greens are great, tater tots are awesome and beware of the medium or hot sauce. THEY ARE HOT. We usually get the mild with a side of medium. When we went there Toy Story was on, before that time there was an old western. I'd probably give 5 stars if the TV choices weren't so random. I'm not a huge ESPN fan but I think it could help business. Might not have cable though. It's a very small building so it's probably not great for a group of people. It seems about the same price as Park Ave, if not cheaper.

So glad we found this amazing place! I had the brisket that was melt-in-your-mouth yummy. My friend had the baby backs which he said was the best he's ever had in Florida (he is visiting from Texas and used to good barbecue) Be warned, the medium sauce is much spicier than you would expect, but the kick just made it that much tastier. The potatoes salad and slaw were delicious, and the fried bisquit was out of this world. I think I can eat a dozen of those in one sitting lol. To top it off, the service is great with a very friendly staff. Only wish this place was closer to my home.

This BBQ joint was ok. Nothing special and nothing stood out except the extremely spicy hot sauce. I ordered the baby back rub dinner which comes with 2 sides (I chose mac-n-cheese and tater tots). Unfortunately, the ribs were a little too dry for my taste. I think the tater tots were sitting under a heat lamp for some time as they were lukewarm and soggy. The mac-n-cheese was pretty tasty, by far the best thing on my plate, which isn't a good thing. I was a little disappointed being that Mrs Smokeys is a dedicated BBQ smokehouse. I've had great BBQ all across the country and unfortunately this isn't one of them. The food just didn't seem freshly made for some reason. Sorry.

Stopped in for lunch on the way from PBI to PSL. Did a yelp search and wanted something different than typical fast food when I was in a hurry. Found good barbecue here. It is an order at the counter place, but the staff were very helpful, asking me to try the sauces before I ordered one. The medium, which I chose, has a pretty solid, slow burn. I was told the hot was ridiculously so, so I didn't try it. I didn't want to overwhelm the flavor of the brisket. I also got the Scooby snack which was a deal offered. I got the chili version, it was excellent. The brisket had good flavor and moisture. The medium barbecue sauce was just the right amount of heat. (I eat very spicy foods, YMMV) When I'm back in the area I would repeat. Good food for a very reasonable price with a very friendly staff.

Should have known better to eat at a Barbeque joint that doesn't have smoke rising from it. They have an electric smoker in the kitchen. The place didn't smell like smoke either, actually smelled a bit skunky. Ordered only chicken, a 1/2 chicken and a 1/4 chicken. Chicken was thrown on the grill to warm it up. Asked for the dry rub and it got doused with what looked like season salt!! I get as much meat in the 1/2 chicken plate at Pollo Tropical!!!! Did I mention the place smelled a bit skunky. Their BBQ sauce is kinda spicy but once again not smokey tasting. Kinda like a cross between tomato sauce, Heinz 57, and Cayenne pepper. Ate about an hour ago and it's sitting in my stomach like a rock.....and the burps ain't good!! Definitely won't be going back! Very polite and nice ladies working there though.

First time here... & I will definitely be going A LOT MORE OFTEN! Now I see why this place is amazing! I love the look in the inside... Even the outside! It's not as crowded, & it is perfect! I got the rib snack with a side of delicious Mac & cheese & perfect tater tots! The biscuits were life!!!!

  • Jamie K.

Greeted by a women who wasn't friendly at all, gave us attitude while ordering. Food was tolerable, nothing's special. The meat is cooked and then sauce added to it on top, so the meat has no build in flavor. The tater tots with the chipotle ranch was delicious. But won't go back - not enough of a good eats factor. I rather drive to sonnys BBQ or park Ave BBQ. Wish I could say there were more positives, very disappointed.

Hands Down Favorite BBQ in Palm Beach County!!! Try the sliders with pulled pork, the beef rib if on the menu falls off the bone, the sides of succotash and collard greens are amazing as is the dessert of ice box cake and. Of course the swer tea

Stopped for a quick lunch and had the $8.00 special. Large drink, excellent cole slaw, moist and perfect pulled pork sandwich. Lots of in house made BBQ sauce choices. Seating is funky but then again you won't be there long. Seating outside for cooler days. Only drawback and reason for just four stars is the A/C isn't up to the job. They make good simple food, priced right and five star worthy.

Best BBQ around. The tater tots are out of this world. I never say that. They are very crispy. Not crunchy, crispy. Super soft inside. The meat it's perfectly smoked and perfectly cooked. Someone posted that the meat is cooked and then sauce added on top so there is no taste to the meat. I'm not sure if she ate the food. All the meat is smoked for hours. It defies physics for the meat to not have flavor. Tip....get there early. Early, early because there are two parking spots. Literally. They tell you that all the spots surrounding can be used to park but...ummm, they are all taken. Each business gets two spots and theres like 6 spots total. Place is clean. Owner and some staff a very nice. Some others not so much. Ive been going to mrs smokeys in sunrise since mid or late 90s until they closed. I couldn't believe I found her up here. Its very far for me or id be here a couple times a month.

  • JJ B.

Wasn't going to write a review until the owner decided to reach out and call me "cheap". (Pic added) The food is just ok at best. The atmosphere is severely lacking and there is barely any parking. Taking these factors into consideration, it is overpriced for what it is. Most of the people working there are fine with an exception to Scott the owner. He is miserable and always looks pissed off. I guess his aggression has left the kitchen. He is now negatively messaging people on the Internet. Is the wave over?

Had dinner there tonight.. outrageous!!! First of all, GREAT staff... friendly, helpful and concerned. I ordered a rib dinner with medium sauce on the side and the server asked if I had ever tried the medium.. I hadn't so he gave me a bit to taste.. really good, but yes, it would be considered hot in most other places. The cole slaw and collards were spot on, and the fried biscuit was great. Oh, ordered some fried pickles to start.. right on the money! Wife had a very good quarter chicken, white met.. very tasty... mac & cheese was excellent... The beans were a bit spicy for her, but she likes things bland. I thought they were great! Our friend had the brisket and said it too was excellent... Good job, Mrs. Smokey!!

Read a lot about this establishment online and here at Yelp, so I ventured over there last night for dinner. It was OK...but nothing to write home about. As a matter of fact, looking back, it was too expensive for the product served, really. I mean over $12.00 for a pulled pork platter that included 2 sides...? Considering what I was served, and the quality of the meat, it should have been 1/2 that price. And Tater Tots as the only potato-based side? Tater Tots? Really? No fries? And then there was the cole slaw...meh. Not a lot of effort put into that side. Too coarse, and not much flavor. And then there was the BBQ sauce. Mild, medium, and hot. The mild actually had some flavor, but the medium and hot BBQ sauces were just devoid of any real taste...all I could taste was pepper (in fact the whole meal has a very heavy peppery slant to it. The black pepper shaker was actually a pepper grinder and put out way too coarse of a grind...which kinda ruined the cole slaw.) And the pulled pork? I guess it was OK. Frankly, I was just damned hungry, and could have eaten just about anything last night, but the meat wasn't all that inspiring. There was even a large gristly fatty piece there at the end, so it kinda' went out on a sour note. This pork bears no resemblance to Country's BBQ in Columbus, GA...my all time fave. On an upside, the service was awesome...even if it was an, "order at the counter, and carry your own tray to the table" set up. The young ladies came by and checked on me multiple times to make sure everything was going well...and it was. So...three stars. Your mileage may vary...

This is a really sweet place - the staff is amazingly awesome and caring. They deserve a five star for their staff. I can't say enough positive things about how nice the people were. I'm just not as big of a fan of the food as I wanted to be. They have a nice selection of beer, and the food is well priced. We tried the pulled pork and brisket. Their sauce is very good, we tried the mild, and it has a lot of flavor and a little bit of spice. I kind of wish I could have just drowned everything in it. Their tater tots were good - normal frozen kind, but well cooked. The macaroni and cheese was good - very buttery and creamy, not so cheesy. Good, but not great. The meat was just OK - nice flavor, a bit too fatty, and a little dry, which was helped by the sauce. The atmosphere is nice, friendly, and comfortable. It's worth trying, but it's not my fave BBQ place ever.

Visited the restaurant with my family -7 in total- and ordered the meal for 4 which has a little bit of everything and it was enough. In addition every single thing I tried was very good, and the sauces are delicious as well. Overall, great place to visit if you want a good bbq.

Came here on the 4th of July. All of the employees were so friendly and happy to be there even though to be working on a holiday. Being from Texas, I know about BBQ and everything was delicious. Loved the kick to the sauce. Fried pickles were great too. Will be back for sure.

Tried the food here for the first time and we were not disappointed. First we had the spare rib and brisket combo with cole slaw and collards. The brisket was so good and moist, no sauce needed. By the way, the medium sauce is really, really spicy. We mixed the mild and medium which was just perfect. The fried biscuit was so good it's dangerous. We were still hungry after eating the platter so we went for the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs and they were seriously so tender and flavorful. Staff was nice, food came out pretty quick.

This place is small. The customer service was not very welcoming and is one of the reasons they received 3 stars another the macaroni had no taste, beans were not good. The baby back ribs were ok not worthy of all the good reviews. We checked in with yelp and received the snack we asked which one was the best the younger girl with brown hair could care less and it showed. We are here on vacation this will not be on our list to return.

Been to this place about twice but always thought it was close as well as the drive-through not looking like it was in operating condition. Only because it was do you salt-and-pepper shakers in the window which made it look like the drive-through window was not in service. Once I got inside it's a small place but the barbecue aroma will hit you as soon as you get the door. Actually met the owner while I was in there and she was very nice and polite. All the workers were helpful and courteous. Will definitely go there again as it's not too far from my work. Everything was good

Not being from the area, we found this place on yelp and ventured out with the assurance of fellow yelpers -- they didn't lead us astray. This is a fun little hole in the wall with good food and friendly service. I especially loved that fried biscuit. (So simple, soooo good) The meat was good, well smoked and fell apart with your fork. The BBQ sauce on top was also flavorful, although it seemed to have just a tad too much sugar. The ribs were also a tad on the tough side, but still had a nice char. The owner likes to greet everyone and make her rounds ensuring guests are comfy. Always a good sign. The only thing I would improve here is the sides seem to leave a little to be desired: the slaw was a bit warm and the mac and cheese tasted as if it was made with a cheese substitute. Overall you won't regret this fun little BBQ joint, it's worth the visit.

My wife & I were vacationing nearby & wanted to try some local BBQ. The reviews on Yelp were great so we have it a try. The restaurant is small but welcoming. seemed clean & well taken care of. We were greeted quickly & the girl taking our order helped us with the menu. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with taters & a side of fried biscuits. My wife had the brisket & taters. I ordered the mild sauce but I kinda wish I would have gotten medium. The sandwich was great but the sauce was just OK. Meat was tender & not overlooked. Taters were about what you'd expect. Crispy & hot! The fried biscuits were like fluffy doughy pillows of deliciousness. I asked for honey to put on them which was icing on the cake! Really liked this place. Wish it was close to home so I could try other menu items. The wash barrel was a nice touch.

Delicious food and great staff! We are from out of town, but we're looking for a place to eat and this was one of the highest rated places. The staff was so helpful and told us all about the different sauces and even gave us samples. They came out to check on is multiple times throughout the mean just to make sure we were doing well. The pork was delicious and so was the Mac and cheese! The desperadoes beer we had is now one of my favorites! I would definitely come back! True southern hospitality and delicious southern food!

Holy cow! My new favorite BBQ place! Hubby and I stopped in here at about 5:30 on Saturday evening. It's a little hole in the wall with wester-ish decor. No matter, what counts is the food, right? Well, the food is slap-your-mama good!! We both had the pork and beef chopped platter - I had mac n cheese and cole slaw with mine and hubby had tater tots and slaw with his. Mild sauce for both of us. The meats were deliciously smokey, moist and succulent. The slaw was good, no complaints there and the mac n cheese was perfectly creamy. Tater tots were nice and crispy. Now get this, it comes with a FRIED biscuit!! FRIED BISCUIT! I'm in heaven!! We got a "scooby snack" with our yelp check in. It's s fried biscuit served open face with your choice of chili, mac n cheese, or baked beans. We got it with the chili - Wow! There's not a bean to be found in that chili, just all-day cooked beef, peppers and onions with some special heat. Delish!! The staff of 4 (?) guys were super nice, incredibly friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Will we make the trip back there from Boynton Beach? You bet - and often!!

Small little spot for bbq off northlake blvd. I wouldn't suggest eating inn unless it's not busy, it's more of a take out place with tight seating. The bbq is not bad but for the price is a little on the pricey side. I got a half rack of ribs with dry rub, a side of tater tots and a drink all came out to 20$. I'll probably will come back to try something else.

Good BBQ with a good price. I had the pulled pork sandwich and there was a thick heaping pile on the bun with a great thick and tangy mild sauce. When you can get a good meal with a side and drink for $10, I'm down every time.

PLEASE, Please, please don't let the outside of this restaurant fool you - it's better than all the sit down BBQ places we have ever eaten at! We got the "free scooby snack" for our YELP checkin and it was delish with the mac and cheese. We ordered the Family Feast for 2 and it easily fed me, my husband and our 10-year old son. It featured all of the meats they offer and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch - they were great! But I thought the pulled meats were the bomb!! We had the mild sauce on ours and there was enough of a heat kick for us without being over powering. The fried biscuits were amazing as was were the beans, coleslaw and potato salad. If we lived in FL we would become regulars. This is a definite "don't miss" eatery for casual, delish food. Yummo!

  • Marc W.

I love good bbq but it is a very subjective taste. Sweet, hot, mustard, vinegar well you have the idea. What makes good bbq? Well I say it's the meat and smoke. I don't care about the sides as I don't eat it for sides. The smoke here is more inside the place then in the meat. I did think the meats were a little fatty. Truth is its one of the better bbq in the area. I would go 3 and a half stars. The sauce is good but warning it is spicy. I like spicy and mixed the med and spicy and was glad I did. One big issue is bad seating and very smokey inside. That's why not a higher rating. Almost hard to eat there.

So disappointed. We were driving to West Palm for the weekend so we decided to Yelp around for some really good BBQ. With a hefty four and a half stars I figured we could do no wrong with going to Mrs. Smokey's Real Pit BBQ for lunch! Boy was I way wrong! First, they claimed to be a real pit BBQ but there was no pit, it is a smoker machine in the kitchen that you can see. That should have been the first clue to keep driving. We arrived and all (5 of us) ordered our food, it was pricey. Spending $40 for a lunch for just 2 of us was a lot of money! But oh well for good BBQ I will pay it. Once our food arrived it was just a mess from then on out. First, we received someone else's order and starting eating it thinking it was ours. They came back, took the food away and delivered it to the people who originally ordered it. Next was our orders, it came out very slowly and was gross. The pulled pork was super dry and my friend did everything he could to swallow it. For myself, I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich with mac and cheese and baked beans. I had huge expectations for this, it came out and was like rubber and veryyyy dry chicken - it looked like plastic and did not resemble pulled chicken in any way. They forgot my side of baked beans so I went in to get it, he handed it to me and it looked like a pile of mush. There wasn't even any beans in it - they were so cooked it was like refried beans at that point. I didn't even touch them. The mac and cheese was ok. Noodles were kind of hard and the taste was a bit sweet but it was the only thing edible on my plate so I ate it. Out of the 5 people who were there 4 of us thought it was gross and we all agreed we would never go back. For a family owned business with a second location coming they need to get it together, quick.

My wife and I ate at Mrs Smokeys for our first time tonight. It was epic! This is the best BBQ I've been to in FL. Notes: 1. You HAVE to try the fried biscuits (they also serve them with ice cream for dessert, if you save room) 2. The pulled pork was delicious (I recommend with cold slaw) 3. The BBQ ribs taste like they were smoked by the god of BBQ in BBQ heaven 4. The people were all so nice and, despite the fact that it was so busy, our order only took about 5-10 min Definitely worth the visit!

Always have chicken here since pork is not my thing. Medium sauce with two sides and ice tea, perfect meal to just hit the spot. Chicken was good, a little skinny but good. Collard greens where very tasty as well as the mac& cheese. I love the little "scooby snacks". It's like a zeppole but fried a little more. Never disappointed here,

Only bbq that reminds me of what I use to get growing up in the south. I love their pulled pork! I can't count how many times I have ate at this place. It's one of my favorites, also they have great desserts. The service is the best you will get in Palm Beach County guaranteed. Never had someone ask for open feedback like the owners did when they first opened, they want you to be happy and if they can make your experience better they will do everything they can to make that happen. That is why this place is 5 stars to me. Great food and awesome service.

Damn right this place is as good as it gets! Everything is wonderful about this place: the meat, the sauce, the sides, the drinks, and the people. But you know what's even better? Magic! Ask yourself if you believe in magic. I'm sure most will answer NO but do yourself a favor and try the Fried Biscuit Ice Cream (chocolate or vanilla). You WILL believe in magic!!!!11 ALAKAZAM!!!!

If you love spicy BBQ this is the place to get it. Also has amazing biscuits.

Very friendly staff, and private parking lot is helpful. Cobb salad with a choice of meat on top was good, crisp vegetables and a generous amount of meat, however they forgot the chopped hard-boiled egg, which is essential for a Cobb. Ribs had a good and very smoky flavor but were tough; they could have easily benefited from more cooking. Sides were all very good. I would definitely give them another try.

Found this place on yelp and agree that the bbq is good. Other yelpers complained about portions, but my portion was generous. I too feel that the place is a little pricey, but the quality shows through, and you know the old saying, you get what you pay for. The fried biscuit and collards were excellent. The brisket and pulled pork were tasty but next time I will opt for the sauce on the side as the sauce overpowered the meat flavors. The sauce was delicious as was the meat, but there was just too much of it slathered on.

Really enjoyed our visit to this small owner run and operated bbq place. Everything we ate was really good, although I would ask for sauce on the side next time. Owner made sure we liked our food, and we enjoyed chatting with her. It's clear she really cares about her customers. They even installed a very cool sink made out of a barrel in the front of the restaurant so you can was up after eating those messy ribs! I definitely recommend a visit.

First time here, Very friendly atmosphere. Love the assigned name instead of a number customer service! Today my order name is belle star. Trying the baby back ribs w/ collard & got free Scooby snack

The baby back ribs were ok. Collards was good. Couldn't help but feel like we were clogging our arteries but hey, that's what BBQ's do. We didn't like the sauce as much as Lucilles BBQ in CA. They are very friendly and helpful so maybe we would go back and try something else on the menu. They must be doing something right since they are opening another location in Jupiter, FL.

I'm from Texas and just relocated to West Palm 3 weeks ago. We know our BBQ in Texas. I saw Mrs. Smokeys had a good rating on yelp, but I was still really skeptical. I was shocked. The best baby back and spare ribs I've ever had. The sauce was great. I love spicy food and the medium was just right. I tasted the hot, and they named it right... It was hot! Kudos to the owner and employees at this establishment. I can't wait to go back.

Sorry, too much fat on the ribs. Almost every bite was fatty. Everything else was good, including the staff and knowledge and friendliness. Hope they have chicken for next time!

Very nice family that runs . I took my kids and Mom on Saturday night . Mom wasn't thrilled with the tiny tables and little air conditioning. I had the rib combo and was ready to order the "hot" BBQ sauce and owner talked me into medium .. Glad she did because I was dropping wet from the heat of the sauce . Sadly, I had stomach issues all night . Back to the food .. Ribs just okay , sides okay . We all agreed PA BBQ better .

Incredibly courteous and caring staff that make you feel welcome and part of the family. Solid bbq. The sauce isn't great - a bit too much of a marina taste, but it does have some kick to it. Fried biscuit and hot links are both fantastic. Only recommendation would be request the sauce on the side if you want to taste the meat, otherwise a fantastic place.

Waaaay too expensive for small portions. Biscuits are amazing. Meat is good. Mild sauce could use work.

This place is addicting. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. If you love BBQ, this is the place. Make sure to try the pulled pork and never skip the fried biscuits. And did I mention the homemade mac and cheese? A definite must! It's great seeing a local mom and pop running a great restaurant. I'll definitely return soon!

Review long over due for Mrs Smokeys. I was a regular there until recently moved away from the area. Everyone there is friendly and great. This is how BBQ should be. The meats: Very tasty brisket and pulled pork done right. The brisket is not sliced and is chopped but still very delicious. When you top this with the sauce it only enhances the flavor. The ribs are really good too but I always prefer brisket and pork. The sides there are simple yet delicious - The Mac and cheese is probably one of the best that I have ever had. At first glance it appears to be a simple concoction akin to a velveeta (which I do love), but when you bite into it along with some drizzle of bbq meat and sauce mixed in, it really is something special... Mrs. Smokey, I need the recipe! The baked beans... these are also top notch... you have bits of smokey meat inside which really enhances the flavor of the beans. Also, the best baked beans I have had to date. I never had the tots or some of the other sides, but the fried donut is a nice add-on to the sides too.. I would take the fried donut dipped in sauce and mac and cheese and I would sufficiently fall into a food coma. If you want good BBQ, there is nowhere else in south florida that I would rather go... pretty much nowhere else that remotely compares in Florida except 4 rivers in Orlando, which is good but slightly different.... Mrs. Smokeys created a very satisfying meal that I miss currently. The sauces: I would take the hot bbq and mild bbq and mix the two together to have a nice flavor splash over the meats... which would be great. I appreciate the variety in flavors, mild, medium and hot... There are some other items to try and you can't go wrong with a good ole sandwich with bbq sauce on top. The menu items seems fairly simple, but when it comes to bbq done right simple is king. If you are reading my review and you got hungry, go to mrs. smokeys get yourself some pork, brisket and beans and mac. you won't regret it.

I was a huge fan when this place was located in Sawgrass in Broward. I found out recently that they had reopened in PBC, so I got some friends and drove from Cooper City to re-live the experience. I was not disappointed. I got the BBQ Pork Sandwich (with hot sauce - and it is really hot and tasty), coleslaw (great taste). My friends each got the 1/2 rack of ribs (one got the medium sauce and the wimp got the mild). They raved about the food. I talked them into trying the Fried Biscuit. They were very skeptical but gave it a try and fell in love with them. Overall nice small clean place. Very friendly family run business. Good meats, sauces, sides. My only problem with the place is that I would have to drive so far to get there. I will be back but not as often as I would like.

Randomly came across this gem when meeting my father after his Bahamas cruise. Parking was a very limited and the layout of the restaurant was not efficient for ordering whatsoever, but the food made up for those downfalls. Definitely some great BBQ food. I would recommend you go check it out.

What an amazing BBQ joint!!! Moving from Texas, my wife and I were seriously missing good pit BBQ and Mrs. Smokey's was just what we were missing! Owner and her daughter couldn't have been nicer and made us feel welcome. So great to support a local family business! Can't wait for their Jupiter location!

Deliciously legit. Hot damn. So, so good! I grew up in the south- 5 years in NC, 5 years in TX, and this is possibly the best BBQ I've ever had. 3 of us split the feast for two- plenty of AMAZING food, and incredibly reasonably priced. Be warned- there isn't really any dining room- our party of 8 had to sit at the picnic table, basically in the parking lot- a little treacherous with my toddler running around. Staff was super sweet and attentive, despite an atmosphere that doesn't really lend itself to service of any kind. If you're looking for an escape from the pretentious, overpriced, fancy crap in Palm Beach, make the ten minute drive- you'll be glad you did.

I travel all over the country and usually yelp the local best BBQ. This is one of the better BBQ joints I've found. I had the combo platter with Mac n Cheese and tots with a sweet tea. My combo platter meat choices were brisket and pulled pork. I love both and usually order the same thing anytime I'm at a BBQ. Both were succulent and juicy without being overdone. Great smoked flavor and just damn good! They slathered it with mild sauce... which I didn't expect so much. The sauce was decent.. a bit too much like tomato paste though. Next time I'll order it on the side. My sides were decent enough. Mac n cheese was typical fare and the tots were deep fried bits of happiness. One of the best parts of this meal was the fried biscuit. I'm not usually a biscuit eater but tried this one and fell in love with the first bite. My arteries were complaining loudly by hardening as I ate the magical doughy concoction but I didn't stop! Amazing! Of course I was a glutton and had the fried biscuit with ice cream for desert too! Slap yer mama good! I'll be back when I need my BBQ fix... sauce on the side this time though.

Meeeeeeeeeeee....aaaaaaaaand Mrs.....Mrs. Smokey....We got a thing. Going on. I can't help it. When I come across a place that is small, smells great and offers up love, I am in love. Kind of what I look for in a real woman...but that's another story. :) Seriously, I have a place in West Palm Beach and when I go there, I'm always looking for new places to check out. The area is pretty swamped with choices. So when I wandered into Mrs. Smokey's - due 100% to the other fine Yelpers - I was floored. It's small. And clean. And loaded with succulent BBQ smells that waft through the poorly air-conditioned room and linger while your mouth salivates, your eyes widen and your stomach growls at what about is to transpire. Mrs. Smokey - and her husband (damn it!) - talked about BBQ sauce. They have two kinds: spicy and regular. Mrs. Smokey said their regular = other people's spicy and offered for me to sample some. I did. And she's right. My eyes watered, my tongue tingled, the tips of my hair were on fire and I loved it. So I went with the beef brisket, pulled pork combo with a mixture of regular on the beef and spicy on the pork along with some tater tots and of course the fried biscuit. And just for fun, I had me some collard greens with bacon. Only in America can you get a fried biscuit. God bless the USA! The meal was heavenly. Rich in depth and complexities of flavor and dipping tater tots into the combo of the two BBQ sauces was wonderful. The fried biscuit was light and airy and of course the meat was out of this world. I have to make special mention of the collard greens. They were sooooo tender and braised with some bacon that I was inspired to braise me some collard greens when I got home for my mom, brother and kids and it was a huge hit. My meal at Mrs. Smokey's occurred months ago and today I can recall it like I just enjoyed it moments ago. It was that good. And when I go back to WPB, Mrs. Smokey and I have a date. At her place. With her food. And her sauce. And her damn husband! He's one lucky man... I'm in love with a beautiful woman that I'm talking about...and her name is Mrs. Smokey.

Can't show enough love for the food at Mrs. Smokey's! The BEST dry-rub barbecue in the area. Makes Park Avenue SO easy to ignore--even though it's just a couple of blocks from my home. The loaded chicken sandwich is always a favorite, and the ribs are to die for. Even the mac and cheese or the collard greens sides are just delicious beyond words. Don't miss out, even though it's tucked away off of Northlake. It's beyond worth the trip to go there--eat in or take home, you can NOT go wrong. The staff are a family that owns and runs the place, and they're just delightful folks--always pleasant, and very involved and competent. I can't wait until my next meal here!

Good BBQ is hard to find in Palm Beach County. There are a few guys with food trucks that serve up decent Q if you're in the right place at the right time but they are unreliable. This place is legit, good, BBQ, and they're always there. It is family run and it shows, the food is made with care and the owner is always front and center taking orders, serving food and talking to the guests. The meats are moist and tender, not dry or fatty and not over-seasoned like you get elsewhere. The sides are fresh, homemade and delicious. The fried biscuits are an interesting treat. If you like your sauce hot get the medium, I haven't ventured to try the hot yet but the medium is hotter than most places "hot". And do not leave until you've tried the homemade pecan pie. I'm a sucker for a good slice of pie at the end of a nice meal.

By far...the best BBQ around! Everything is fresh and oh so tasty!! And the owners are the nicest people in the world!! Try the sticky bones (fried babybacks...OMG!) Or the award winning chili!

What a great casual BBQ restaurant. My whole family had a great time here. All of the employees had smiles on their faces and seemed to really care about our experience. The food was delicious for one of those nights when eating healthy isn't priority. Fried pickles? yum! The night we visited there was a local band playing outside which really gave it a southern bbq flare. Good Food Fun Place and family owned! Worth a try

Read your reviews. Very disappointed. The ribs were just so-so. The Mac & Cheese was awful ( I'm sure Kraft out of the box would be better ) The succotash was canned and the Tater a Tots ,I can buy at PUBLIX for a lot less . The cole slaw was watery and again probably better at PUBLIX. Definitely would not recommend.

A-mazing! My husband and I went here for the first time yesterday for lunch. I have to say I was skeptical pulling up to this place because it's in a weird location - on a corner with limited parking, next to a run down building. But there were several people leaving who looked fulfilled and more people filing in as we approached so I figured there was something to it. It's a small place with some outdoor seating and honestly, it's just as hot inside as it is outside but I'd sit just about anywhere for this food. For those who need to be somewhere afterwards it might be worth noting that if you sit inside you will smell like BBQ once you leave. For me, that was just a pleasant reminder of the meal I had but it might not be as awesome in a business meeting... unless you enjoy taunting your colleagues. Anyway, the food. We had the chicken plates with mild sauce and two sides and a fried biscuit. First let me say that whoever thought of frying a biscuit is a GENIUS! They're so good. We had mac n' cheese, cole slaw and potato salad as sides and they were all good. The cole slaw wasn't too mayonnaisey, the mac n' cheese was creamy and the potato salad was tasty. The chicken was fantastic - they put the sauce on top and are not shy with the application so it's everywhere and very good. Like I said, we went during lunch time and it was very busy but they had a system where one person handed out menus to the folks in line, another guy asked what we wanted to drink, got us the drinks and had everyone moving through there relatively quickly. Once you order you get assigned a name (Billy the Kid, Clementine, Jesse James, etc.) instead of a number, which I thought was cute. After ordering we waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. The waitstaff is very pleasant and asked how things were a few times (but not in an invasive way). There's an area to empty and drop off trays when you're done but the waitress took ours and did it for us (good call on her part cause I would've made a mess!). There's also a cool barrel with a water pump so you can wash your hands after they've inevitably become coated in BBQ sauce. Also worth noting is that the prices are good. Even if they were higher I would pay it for this food but who can argue with fairly priced and very tasty food?! Not I.

  • S G.

I've driven by a few times, and it always smelled so good, plus I love that it's a small almost dive type place. Out and about today and hunger was calling! So happy we stopped by. The staff was so nice and helpful. Since we were first timers they helped us navigate the menu and the sauces. We checked in on yelp and redeemed our free Scoobie Snack. The pork and brisket are so tender and juicy and not fatty. The Mac n Cheese is al dente and so cheesy creamy!! Tiny taters as they call them, the under rated tater tot, and the beans have a surprise kick to them. We choose the perfectly sweetened tea and a tall boy PBR to wash it down with. This is really a fantastic gem, and a must try! Finally a BBQ place in south Florida worth mentioning. Happy Happy Happy.

Was here for a short time, but visited Mrs. Smokeys on several occasions! The sauce is in house - it is outstanding! The mixed-mild has a kick, and the medium turns it up a notch. Great ribs, even better pulled pork! The service is fast, and everyone there is very friendly! Will definitely be returning here.

Found this place on Yelp when we were in the area and looking for something other than food from a chain store. The reviews looked good so we gave it a try and we are glad we did. It's a small mom and pop type place decorated nicely. Food was really good and the owners are the ones taking your order, preparing your meal, and taking care of you. They are very friendly and definitely aim to please their guests. We had the BBQ pork sandwiches which were perfect. Moist and full of flavor. One thing - try to sauce before ordering. When they say hot they mean it! We will definitely be back.

Although this place holds a four and half star from over 80 reviewers, I am not sure why? Meat was the only thing my family of six found to be good. Sauce is likened to ketchup with spices, none of the sides were good all were bland

RIB TIPS....!!!! Oh Glorious.....!!! They are the overlooked nuggets of meat GOLD that hide on the menu at Mrs. Smokeys. If you don't mind working a little for your food (Think of it as pork chicken wings), then get these. I prefer dry rub with a side of sauce for light dipping. The meat alone is smoky and delicious and is good enough alone, but the dry rub in phenomenal as well as the sauce. The portion is very good too !!!

I've had BBQ all over the country and would consider myself a big fan of BBQ...so after reading the reviews for Mr. Smokeys, I had to try it. I had a cup of the Chili and a Pork Sandwich w/ hot sauce topped with slaw. First the Chili: At last!! Chili that actually has flavor!! Robust deep flavors and loaded (and I mean loaded) with tender beef brisket. Perfect amount of spice and flavor. Not to be confused with your average tomato sauce and ground beef chili..this is the good stuff. The Sandwich: Perfect size for me..not too big or too small...just right. The pork was tender and had fantastic flavor all by itself. As good if not better than any I've had ANYWHERE. Combined with a very tasty slaw it was heavenly. The sauce was perfect..it complimented the flavors instead of overpowering them. I had the HOT because I love it hot...some places think their sauce is hot but few deliver. This delivered in every way. Beautifully hot but bursting with flavor. Not for everyone but perfect for chili heads like me. Fast and friendly service is icing on the cake...I will be back and I'm bringing friends and family....

What a great surprise! I got introduced to this place about 3 weeks ago by a friend who is a regular there. I tried the beef brisket slider and really loved it. It is a small place, very clean, welcoming, the servers are great and the owners are very personable. Since then I have been there a couple of times for lunch and dinner. Don't forget to check in on your phone via yelp app. I did a couple times and got freebies. Keep up the great work!

the food here is amazing. the collar-greens are simply the best i've ever had/ they have a very spicy sauce that works as advertised rest assured they give you fair warning about how intense it is and mild sauce is available. the format of this place is somewhat strange and i'm still not used to it. you order your food and pay for it then you take it upon yourself to collect utensils napkins and condiments like most BBQ joints. but once you're done it's not clear if you should simply abandon your waste or take it upon yourself to dispose of it and return the tray. the dining room is quite small with outdoor seating. perfect for a quick break and delicious BBQ meal while on a bicycle or motorcycle.

You get so much food for the price. The idea of having a mom and pop BBQ place close to home is really nice. I had the full ribs and spite my efforts I couldn't get it all down.

Best BBQ in town. Hands down. Their sauces are spicy. Pulled pork is juicy. They place country western movies at this family owned place. I've eaten at nearly every food joint around town and this is ranked at the top. They have a pretty good beer selection at this hidden gem. Highly recommend it. Don't bother going to any other place for BBQ in town.

Would I recommend Mrs. Smokey's to a friend? Yes. But, be prepared. Seating is limited. Air-conditioner works hard to keep up. We were there on 4 July, this is a prime time for barbecue. The feeling is that you are roughing it. You are. However, you will be rewarded. The family that operates this place are really working hard and seem to really care about your satisfaction as a customer. The food is a reward. Ribs and chicken served hot, juicy and flavorful. Look forward to their sauce. I like it hot. They have the usual categories of sauces. Be sure to taste a sample before deciding. Better idea, order it on the side. I had their collard greens. They were better than I expected. Not greasy and very flavorful. If you've been in this area for a while, you are forced to make the inevitable comparison with a barbecue chain that started only a few blocks from this location. Park Avenue Barbecue Grill is no longer at their original location, but are all over now. PA grill has a good thing going and I hope they continue. It is a lot more commercial and comfortable then Mrs. Smokies, however a trip to Mrs. Smokey's is definitely worth it. Remember, don't forget your Wild West name.

I really wanted to love this place. I ordered to-go lunch on a Saturday afternoon for me and my friends. Football's on. Beer's cold. Just needed some good 'que. Ordered a combination of pulled pork, brisket (served pulled?? -- that's different!), and spareribs. Plus sides of mac n cheese, beans and extra biscuits. Pork was good but oversauced. Brisket was greasy. And at the end of the game, there were still spareribs left. They were waaaay too saucy and generally not good. Still had the silver skin on 'em. Albeit the sides were part of the lunch platter, the to-go portions were TINY. Literally two big spoonfuls of mac and cheese and beans. AND WHY DEEP FRY THE BISCUITS? Enough is enough! Some good ol' white bread would have been more than sufficient to help with the greasiness of the BBQ. Sorry to say I'm not going back. Like I said, I wanted to love this place. No such luck.

You may see my location as outside Boston, MA and wonder what I know about BBQ. I grew up down the street from this joint and everytime I come home I am looking for the taste of great BBQ. Your Yelp comments sent me there in late January and I was not disappointed. I can't say everything I had was 5 star but the most important parts certainly were- I give the ribs and pulled pork 5 stars. The dry rub with sauce on the side was excellent. The flavor and smoke perfectly balanced. I really enjoyed the succotash and collards. I would pass on the mac n cheese. Decor was cool too!

I took my 5-year-old son to Mrs. Smokeys and we had a great meal. We had pulled pork and brisket - both were cooked to perfection and delicious. The sauce is tangy goodness. He is a Mac & Cheese fanatic, but daddy always gets one bite in, and it was great as well. The lemonade was freshly made and delicious. In fact, all their food is made right there and it shows. Looking forward to going back and trying more menu items. The owner (Mrs. Smokey), her husband and daughters work the restaurant and really care about their customers. The place is small but comfortable - I find most of the best hidden jems in South Florida are the same way. Instead of order numbers, they use nicknames - we were "Chuckwagon Pete". Fun, fast, friendly, fantastic. Don't hesitate to give them your business!

My god, what can I say? My daughter & son-in-law brought me here when I visited. Tiny mom and pop place, only a few tables and a guy playing guitar out front for tips. ordered at the counter; I had hot links, brisket, beans and an order of fried dill pickles. The food was out quickly and was out of this world! The owners/servers were friendly and chatty and genuine. I absolutely love BBQ and there's only a couple of good places in Phoenix; I asked the owners to come and open a place in AZ. Would eat here any time!

If your looking for southern barbecue this is not the place for you... But, as far as Texas style BBQ, cowboy style, this is what your looking for. I personally would prefer southern style, so I can not say that I enjoyed the food. However, the theme of the restaurant and the atmosphere is fun. A cowboy theme with cowboy movies playing... Great. Food 6 atmosphere 8

Delicious, fast and cheap. The medium sauce is as picante as Thai hot - the warning that if "you get it without trying it, no refunds" is well warranted. I had to downgrade to a mix of mild-medium and enjoyed it greatly.

Stopped by this place for the first time the other day with my ma to get some Q. My mom wanted Thai food so we left. I know, i know i'm such a good son. Reviews sound good so I'm gonna give ya a preemptive 5 star. Don't let me down.....

I love this place! The Mac&cheese is awesome, the potato salad yummy and I highly recommend the baby back ribs dinner. We came across this restaurant in a car show where they won the contest for the best chili and since then we haven't stop going. Mrs Smokeys and her husband are super nice all the time! 5 stars for delicious food and great service!

The chopped pork sandwich was on the skimpy side. The meat was tender sweet and juicy. BUT the sauce ( i tried the mild) was watery and bland at best. It doesnt stack up to KC Masterpiece or Sweet baby Ray's. The menu is quite complete. The air conditioning was weak.. The chopped pork was so good I'll go back n try the medium sauce. Maybe that will do the trick. Worth a try, again.

We've been looking for good BBQ in the area since I moved here and this is DEFINITELY the place!! The Pulled Pork is amazing as well and the BBQ beans and Mac n' Cheese! To make things even better this is a small mom and pop joint and they were so nice! Amazing Service! We will be back very soon!

Best barbeque in town. The deep fried muffins are awesome. Watch out for the hot sauce it is atomic.

We happened on Mrs Smokeys. After checking the great reviews we ventured in. My wife and I had the "Cowboy Up". A little of nearly everything. Not sure which of it was best it was all so tasty. We agree that this is best BBQ around. Mrs Smokey herself chatted with us as Mr Smokey prepared the feast. Exceptional service! What more can we say? 5 stars

I have been wanting to try Mrs. Smokies since I had their brisket chili at the NPB Chili cool off. The chili was really good and I believe it won 1st prize. We finally tried the BBQ today and it was fantastic! Everything was good but my favorites were the chopped pork, fried pickles, and smoked sausage. We will be back!

It's been a while and they have added things to the menu, so I figured it was time for an update. Last night, the little lady and I were in the mood for a salad for dinner and decided to try Mrs. Smokey's after speaking with her on a previous occasion. We both opted for the smoked chicken salad, pickle chips (a standard and always delicious) and their fried ribs appetizer. Now, not being a salad kinda guy I still enjoyed my salad. The salad was made on a bed of mixed greens, with candied pecans (damn good), sliced Granny Smith apples and a nice sized smoked chicken breast dressed with a light vinaigrette (spell check). Overall the salad was good, but I would prefer more of a chopped style salad so that you could get a little taste of everything in one bite. Ok.. enough about the salad because I got two words for ya... FRIED RIBS! These are Mrs. Smokey's take on chicken wings and let me tell you, they knocked it out of the park. This appetizer is four (4) smoked ribs that are battered, fried and dipped in sauce for $8. I must say these ribs were insanely good. When you first bite into them, you get a nice crunch like you would with a chicken wing but then you hit the soft tender rib meat that just falls off of the bone making it two textures covered in a very taste bud pleasing sauce. I would say that if you ordered these for a football or any other party, they would disappear quick. As always, our meal was great and the awesome personality of the owner and her family make it a great dining experience. As a side note, I had the full rack dinner the last time we were at Mrs. Smokey's. It's definitely great eating, but you better be hungry because it's a very filling dinner. I would say the ribs were very good, but that goes without saying.

Best BBQ I have had in Florida. Have been there twice and will go there many more times in the future.

Wow. That was my first reaction after taking a bite of the barbecue from Mrs. Smokeys. I've lived down in West Palm Beach for about a year, and it has taken me this long to find good, cheap, delicious BBQ. My girlfriend suggested this place after she saw the positive reviews on Yelp, and I can assure you those reviews are well-earned. We got the Feast for Two, which easily could have fed three. The service was phenomenal -- incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. And, most importantly, the prices can't be beat! After only one trip, I'm addicted -- best BBQ in the area! Helpful hint: I recommend the medium sauce instead of hot, because the hot might be capable of peeling the paint off your car. The medium has plenty of kick, trust me!

Best BBQ in west palm beach by far! Try the cowboy special with pulled pork and Mac and cheese on the side!

Great BBQ. Best in the area by far. Haven't had a bad dish yet. Just went for lunch and had the brisket sandwich. Great! And definitely try the fried biscuits.

Amazing BBQ in this adorable tiny family run place. It's what you expect from a family run place, owners that walk around and make sure everything is ok. Friendly staff that truly appreciates your business and delicious BBQ! Priced perfect and tastes even better. I'll be back for sure. Just a word of caution, it's tiny, not a good place for a big group but perfect for a smaller party or take out!

Cool atmosphere and very small. The side dishes were okay. I didn't like the mac n cheese or succotash corn with bacon bits. BBQ sauce was alright, I prefer smoked sweet over tangy spicy flavor. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the chicken was really dry, didn't like it at all.

This BBQ Restaurant has barely been open a month and I've already been there 3 times. The first time I had a backyard bbq salad trying to go the healthy route. It was delicious, had all the ingredients I like and none that I don't, and I was totally full after yet still wanted more BBQ Brisket, lol. I also tried their Fried Pickles, who's ever heard of such a thing, but they were excellent. My only complaint was that their home-brewed iced tea cups are too big, didn't fit into my car's cup holders, but that's just cause those German engineers don't care much for cup holders. On the second visit I went for a platter eager to try more things. I actually asked for one that's not even on the menu, brisket and bbq chicken. Had it with coleslaw and potato salad, but wished they would have had some collard greens or steamed veggies, most people will love their sides though, I just try to stay as healthy as I can while still eating some BBQ. The meal was good, but I think next time I might actually try the Medium instead of the Mild sauce just so I can compare. Then last weekend I got invited to a pot-luck picnic, and I really didn't feel like cooking, so I called up Mrs. Smokeys BBQ and ordered one of the Family Feasts. Boy was that a great sampling of most of what they offer, bbq ckecken, pork, beef, ribs and some other stuff. And I could not resist eating a fried biscuit, which was amazing actually. I'd recommend this family owned and operated BBQ restaurant to any Barbeque food lover. Check out their website: mrssmokeys.com

My wife and I were driving down Northlake when she noticed a new bbq joint just off of Northlake on 10th street. We were just talking about how hungry we were and speaking about dinner options. So, we busted a U-turn and went to Mrs. Smokey's. We were greeted warmly by the whole family! That's right, the husband and wife were cooking and the daughter greeted us and took our order. I love that! We were told that the 'feast for 2" would be the way to go in order to try about everything. That's what we did and man were we impressed! This feast for 2 had ribs, pulled pork, pulled beef, bbq chicken, smoked sausage, baked beans, TATOR TOTS, potato salad, coleslaw and 2 fried biscuits!! It was all so delicious! I have been a huge fan of PA BBQ and I'm sure will continue to eat there from time to time, but as of yesterday, my wife and I have a new BBQ joint and it's family owned and operated! Love it Mrs. Smokey's, keep up the good work and welcome to the neighborhood!!

Tried this place off of other Yelper recs. Have gone back couple of times. Fairly simple but interesting and inexpensive menu, very well executed. Small joint; paper and plastic plates, counter service. Very friendly; very clean;excellent service; owner and family on premises. Great value. Especially love the chili (with beef brisket), brisket sandwiches, the fried rolls, and desserts.

By far the best BBQ I've ever had. Lucky for me, I live less than a mile away. The brisket is incredible, the ribs are perfect, I love the Mac n cheese, the noodles are always perfect and not overlooked. The coleslaw is fresh and has a perfect sweet to sour balance. Try the icebox cake, so simple yet so tasty!!! This is an establishment operated by its owners, and they put a ton of care into their product and it shows. I have eaten here well over 30 times, and can honestly say I have always enjoyed the experience.

Excellent brisket "pulled style". Really nice folks. Clean, brite and casual. Try the craft beers. Only gave it four until I try the rest of the menu.

Good barbecue place. We had the "Feast for Two" - a heaping helping of BBQ pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, side dishes, and a fried biscuit. Everything tasted fine, though there was no real standout dish - just competent 'cue with friendly service and a better-than-expected decor. The place is pretty small, but there is inside seating and a bathroom.

Excellent value with very good food. The brisket was delicious and a very substantial portion. We're going back next week for the baby-back ribs that were sold out today.
